Preparing Your Property to show . . .

Outdoors:

Be sure the entrance to your home is clean and inviting. Keep the lawn mowed and steps swept. Store hoses neatly and be sure sprinklers don't water walkways.

Garage:
Keep the floors clean and swept.
If laundry is done in the garage, be sure clothes are put away.

Bathrooms:
Polish the floor, mirrors, and fixtures. Hang your best towels and open a fresh bar of soap. Personal items should be put away. Freshen up plants or flowers.

Closets:
Keep the lights on and doors slightly open to invite interested buyers to look inside.

Kitchen:
Be certain counters and floors are neat and clean. Wipe away finger prints and be sure the garbage is taken out.

Overall:
Keep all light on and doors to main rooms open. Be sure drapes are open and windows are clean inside and out.
Eliminate unpleasant orders.
Place fresh flowers through out.
Be sure pets are outside.
Keep the temperature comfortable. A crackling fire in the fireplace is appropriate on a cool winter day.
Soft music is nice during the showing.
